OK, but not great
This does the job fine, but if I had it to do over again, I would have gotten an all stainless one. Not being able to put this in the dishwasher is a huge drawback. My two favorite words are "dishwasher safe," but to not be able to put something that touches raw poultry in the diswasher is insult to injury. I am pricing others and it looks like I'll be dropping at least $18.

Read description carefully. Its only solar powered if you buy an extra accesory. If you call it a solar charger it should do just that without buying something else.

Time and Money Saver
I bought a couple of sheets of this and trimmed them to the size of my cookie sheets. At first I only considered the benefits of saving money over endless rolls of parchment and reducing waste. It has a couple of unexpected benefits as well.

For one, you only have to cut it to size once (so if you have pans of different sizes you want to use this with, buy enough for all sizes). Secondly, it lies flat on the pan. Anyone who's worked with rolls of parchment knows the frustration of trying to get it to tear evenly from the roll. Then it curls up when you try to line your baking sheet with it. Not so with this stuff.

It's very easy to clean, also. It's supposedly dishwasher safe, but it doesn't seem like it would stay put once the jets started. It's too light and flexible. I just soak it for a few seconds in warm sudsy water and rinse it off. Then I hang it over the oven door handle to dry.

One word of caution: Don't buy this thinking you can fold it up like you would to make fish en papillote. It doesn't hold a crease well enough for that. Besides, for baking fish, I prefer to use something disposable.

Amaray = Top-Of-The-Line DVD Storage Cases
If ever given the choice of an "Amaray" Brand DVD storage case or an "Alpha" Brand DVD case, I myself will always choose this Amaray style of DVD packaging. Nearly all of the other lesser-known (non-Amaray or non-Alpha) brands of DVD cases also pale by comparison to an Amaray case.

Amaray's "patented pop-up" design keeps the disc safe and secure on its "hub". Very rarely will you encounter any "floaters" (i.e.: loose discs) when a DVD has been shipped in an Amaray case.

"Alpha" makes a pretty good case as well -- but I much prefer the design and looks of the Amaray cases. Plus, the discs are easier to remove from their hubs/trays via the Amarays, in my considered opinion. (The "Alphas" have the "pinch clip" design for disc removal, which can sometimes wreak havoc on the fingernails. The Amaray "push button" method I believe is more user-friendly.)

Each Amaray case includes literature clips on the left-hand inside panel to hold paper enclosures and a full plastic inlay sleeve on the outside of the case for removable artwork inserts.

It's always a good idea to keep a batch of new, empty Amaray DVD cases around the house to replace cases that get damaged, which often happens after peeling off the multiplicity of needless, useless security stickers that nearly every DVD company plasters all over their movie discs. Many times the numerous stickers placed on the cases can warp and wrinkle the plastic inlay sleeve on the case, resulting in, quite frankly, a crappy-looking piece of packaging, in my opinion.

But if you've got some of these new Amaray cases lying around, which have never been subjected to the potentially-damaging shrinkwrapping and "security sticker" process, you'll have some nice-looking, smooth, undamaged DVD cases to replace the crummy-looking ones that you sometimes encounter when you buy DVD movies in physical stores and on-line.

Amaray actually manufactures a second style of single-disc DVD packaging (or at least they have in the past, circa 2001-2003), featuring a slightly different style of tray and a different (less-"jarring") type of opening "latch". Plus, this alternate case type has a different "side opening" design (with just a small indentation provided for opening the case, which is actually better, in my opinion, than the wider opening featured on the "main" style of Amaray case).

In fact, this secondary, less-common style of Amaray case is one that I, personally, prefer over the more standardized version that's in mass circulation. This "other" version of the case opens up a little easier, IMO, and also holds the disc quite a bit tighter on the hub than the more-common design, resulting in a disc that won't "spin like a top" when it's housed on its hub.

This secondary design features the very same type of "pop-up"/"pop-off" hub as the more standard version, but the circular tray holding the disc doesn't have the relatively-useless extra pieces of hard plastic surrounding the "finger hole indentations" in the disc tray. These opened-up "finger recessed areas" utilized in this second Amaray design make it possible to grab the disc at opposite ends while pressing down on the hub in the middle, which (IMO) is a better and more user-friendly hub/tray design.

Hopefully the above doesn't sound like Greek (or tommy-rot) -- but I'm sure that any "DVD Case Experts / Aficionados" reading this will know exactly what I'm talking about when I discuss these subtle DVD case variations and idiosyncrasies. (I'm rather fastidious when it comes to my DVD packaging. It's a birth defect, I think. Can't be helped it seems.) *wink*

I've ordered many Amaray cases over the last several years (in bulk quantities), and I've received *both* of the different styles. I'm never quite sure which style I'll get when ordering these Amaray cases; but either type is actually OK with me.

The Amaray Company has made its single-disc DVD cases in a variety of colors, too. In addition to the standard "Black" (it's actually a "Dark Gray", but I won't quibble about its official color designation), I've also purchased Amaray 1-Disc cases in a very bold (and appealing-looking) "Red", plus "Orange", "Yellow", "Translucent Ice Blue", and "White". Other colors in the Amaray range include: "Metallic Red", "Grinch Green", "Gold", "Lime Green", "Neon Blue", "Purple", "Metallic Silver", and "Translucent Magenta".

To sum this up .... If you want a good, solidly-constructed packaging device for your Digital Versatile Discs, then Amaray cases win hands-down!

Now ... would you like my detailed analysis of the "Digipak" style of DVD packaging? Well, maybe I'd better save that for another day (perhaps a day when you've got insomnia -- because that essay is bound to put you to sleep, post-haste). LOL. :-)

Dogtra Anti- Barking Collar
I am not having much luck with the Dogtra YS500 Anti-barking collar. Unless I am a total fool and cannot follow instructions, this collar does nothing to correct my 75 lb. Lab from barking. It may work very well for smaller dogs, but does nothing at all for my dog. I have always liked the Dogtra electronic training collar. That works beautifully, but the anti-barking collar in my estimation is a waste of money.
