GENIUS!! This is definitely worth the small price! I got one for Christmas, and have been using it non-stop since - it's fantastic. I buy my greens from a mega-mart in a huge container, pre washed, and rarely was able to use them up before they'd go bad. Since using this sac, my greens last SO much longer, and I definitely use them all up!! For my prewashed greens, I simply make sure the sac is damp before dumping them in there, then I toss it in the veggie draw in my fridge. The greens in my fridge now are a week old, and just as crisp and fresh as if I just got them.
Must Have for Canning The Fox Run 5 peice canning set has made canning easier! No more hot water splashes when pulling jars out of the canner. No more burnt fingers when tightening the rings. GREAT product!
My Thoughts.... If this were based on looks alone...i would give it five stars.
But, it's not just about looks on this item.
This item, as adorable as it is...is a complete nightmare to put together. The holes for the screws did not line up...making the piecing together process only the more difficult. In addition, my instructions seemed to be a bit confusing...even leading me through attaching the decorative wheels, which were already attached whent the item arrived.
When I contacted Guidecraft (the company who makes the item) the woman was very condescending and far from helpful...when I explained that I thought I had an older version of instructions that came with mine, she simply said, "I'm just going to believe you, but our product rarely arrives with the decorative wheels on it"...okay...I obviously fell into the "rarely" group.
The hinges are also difficult...because from the picture in the instructions (tip to guidecraft: Label the hinges K1 and K1 to make this easier)it is difficult to tell which one goes which way...which for me resulted in having to redo the hinges as i put them on wrong...but the instructions make this really hard to understand the "right" way to attach and the lack of labeling on the hinges simply lead to even more frustrating. Beware...it's easy to mess up and scratch your beautiful toybox.
I am usually very good about putting things together, and this was an item I simply could not WAIT to get and put together and place in my son's room. However, the frustration I experienced putting this item together simply sucked the fun out of the experience...not to mention the total lack of "service" with their customer service department. However, the store I bought the item from (Sensory Edge) was fantastic, helpful and extremely professional...fast shipping from them as well.
As for guidecraft? Wish I had more options for circus room furniture...because guidecraft's is the cutest I have seen for the price, but the other items I purchased from guidecraft will not be met with the eagerness the toybox was...as I know now the nightmare that could await me when it is time to put them together.
